Every other year our teens head to the south with our congregant Ron Silver to learn about the civil rights movement and the role Jews played in it. This year, Cantor Cahana will be joining them as they head to Mississippi where they’ll learn about the Freedom Riders, attend services at a local synagogue and a local Baptist Church and attend many renowned museums and sites. For many who go, this is the trip of a lifetime and an incredibly eye opening experience into the civil rights movement.

The deadline to register for this trip is September 1st!

Cost for this trip is $1200 per student. We are able to keep the cost low and offer substantial scholarships to those who need it thanks to the support of the Roscoe and Debra Nelson Youth Fund.

Email Chelsea with questions and more information. More information will be posted here as it is made available.
