Join us on Zoom for this year’s Taste of Temple! The menu for Taste of Temple 2021 features a delicious pairing of events. A Tiny Taste of Temple cooks up fun for the whole family and Taste of Temple: B’tey’avon provides a sophisticated tasting for adult palates.

Taste of Temple: B’tey’avon

B’tey’avon means “bon appétit,” so Zoom in, nosh, and mingle with your fellow congregants at 6:00 PM on this Sunday, January 31. The evening will serve up fun with curated food boxes courtesy of Jacob and Sons with additional treats from Taste of Temple recurring favorites Kachka, Roons, Fire on the Mountain, Garbanzo, Stone Soup, Yalla, and more!

Curated Box Pick-Up 

Boxes will be available for pick-up on Saturday 1/30 noon – 4:00 PM and Sunday 1/31 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at CBI (1972 NW Flanders St)! You can pick up your box at the glass doors of the Schnitzer Family Center (across from the dome on the south side of the street). You may also remain in your car on the street and we will bring the box to you.

While our curated crated food boxes have sold out, you can still join in the event itself! All are welcome to participate—at no charge—in the Taste of Temple: B’tey’avon Zoom.  Register online to make sure you get the link to join the annual fun. To receive the link, simply “purchase” (at no charge) an Event Link Registration ticket.

Curated Box Wait List 

We will maintain a food box waitlist for those who are interested. To get on the waitlist, simply “purchase” (at no charge) a Taste of Temple Box Waitlist ticket. We will let those on the waitlist know as boxes become available in the order they registered.

The Menu

Our delicious boxes are all vegetarian with a little of something for everyone (including vegan and gluten-free items). We will feature

– Fire on the Mountain, either Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce, Buffalo Lime Cilantro Sauce, or “Soon to be Famous” Spicy Peanut
– Garbanzos, A small bowl of dips, salads, and pita (vegan)
– Kachka, Horseradish vodka
– Roons, An original, chocolate-dipped, macaroon and lemon macaroon (gluten-free)
– Stone Soup, Creamy cauliflower soup (vegan)
– Yarden Winery, Cabernet sauvignon wine
– Yalla, from the Seasame Collective, Chocolate tahini cookie with sea salt

A Tiny Taste of Temple

On Sunday, January 24 we rolled up our sleeves and rolled out some rugelach. Chef and restauranteur Sonya Sanford led a cooking class for the whole family, whether you’re Zooming in as part of our Religious School programming or sharing a family morning with us.
