A Peek at Our Community

A look at some of our programming and services!

Sounds of CBI

Enjoy the music of our community!

We offer Shabbat services on Friday nights at 6:00 PM and Saturday mornings at 10:30 AM. All of our services are available to watch virtually here.

We offer a variety of programs organized around both interests and age groups. Examples of these groups include Mini Mensches for families with children age 0-5, Jews Next Dor (JND) for young adults in their 20’s and 30’s, Social Action CommitteeAdult EducationBrotherhood, and WRJ/ CBI Sisterhood.

A list of these programs with descriptions can be found here.

Ways to get involved in these groups vary based on each group’s design. Some require membership while others do not. If you are interested in a particular program, please reach out to us here.

You are welcome to check out any of our services either virtually or in-person. If you are interested in learning more about Judaism or converting, we encourage you to participate in the Introduction to Judaism course run by the Oregon Board of Rabbis. This organization is comprised of Rabbis from across the Jewish spectrum living in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

We are committed that any family can join CBI regardless of financial situation. Sustaining annual dues are $2750/ year (plus a one-time capital fund fee that may be spread over five years). CBI also has special dues levels for younger members/families and those who live out of the area. If one is unable to commit at the sustaining dues level, we work with families to find a dues amount that feels sustainable for each family and helps support building our community. If you are concerned about the ability to afford membership, please know we do our best to lower financial barriers and make our community accessible to all. We do this with the help of other congregants and generous donors. While you are in the process of becoming a congregant, a staff member is happy to discuss what will work for your situation.

We bill based on our fiscal year (July 1-June 30) and offer the flexibility to divide payments into monthly or quarterly installments.

If you have not yet, we encourage you to attend services and have a chance to meet our community. Afterwards, please visit this link to fill out an information request form. A staff member will be in touch with you to set up a time to discuss membership.
