CBI Brotherhood Mission
Our Brotherhood has entertaining events and provides crucial support to our Temple and to our Programs throughout the year. Congregation Beth Israel’s Brotherhood focuses on strengthening the ties of our members and their families to our Jewish heritage and traditions.
Past Events
Brotherhood brings the best of CBI and Portland together with events that include our annual Latkes and Vodkas cook-off, poker and pool nights, hiking, rafting, Sukkah building, attending Hops, Blazers, and Timbers games, hosting the CBI community at Shabbat on the Plaza (complete with hot dogs and beer), and more!

From Your Brotherhood President
Dear CBI Brothers & Members,
I’m excited to introduce myself to you all as the New CBI Brotherhood President.
As a current 10-year CBI Member and 30-year Oregonian, I’ve been privileged to know many of you.
That either from Services, Sunday School, or via my more popular family members Debbie and Aaron.
Now serving as the new President, I’m extremely encouraged to growing our CBI Brotherhood with many new and returning faces (even those only a Jewish mother could love). Please join my fellow Brothers and I in that effort this upcoming year. My goal is to take this great group of Jewish men at CBI and foster fellowship. To this end, we have organized events that should cater to all types; bringing us together to do good deeds and make good friendships.
I am honored to be leading the Brotherhood, and look forward to seeing you at some of our events. If you have any opinions on how we can make our organization better, please let me know.
If you are not already a member, we welcome you.
Annual dues have been held at just $36 per year, renewed each CBI Fiscal year.Sincerely,
Randy Geller
