Declaration of Independence: from Vision to Reality

Through small group discussions and guided reading, participants will learn about the declaration of independence and the values on which the state of Israel was established.
After discussing the declaration, we will hear the “Four Tribes” speech by former President Reuben Rivlin, depicting the change in Israeli society as it transforming into 4 groups that are almost the same size, instead of an obvious majority.
We will look at the values of the state in light of this social climate change and will discuss how values can be contradicting, along with a small group discussion on different real-life challenges Israeli society is currently facing, where values of different groups clash.
