The Turnaway Project on Sunday, September 7. Grounded in the Reform Jewish commitment to justice, compassion, and bodily autonomy, this evening combines art and expertise to shed light on lasting impacts of abortion access and the harm caused when that access is denied. Drawing on a landmark longitudinal study, the project reveals how being able to access a wanted abortion leads to better outcomes in health, economic stability, mental well-being, and child welfare. This powerful evening featuring a staged reading of The Turnaway Play, followed by a Q&A with a panel of experts — including our own Rabbi Rachel Joseph— as we explore the personal, societal, and moral dimensions of reproductive justice.
Doors Open at 4:00 PM!
- Admission to the play and discussion is free for CBI and WRJ/Beth Israel Sisterhood Members, but your RSVP is required.
