The Interfaith Alliance on Poverty is a faith-based community of congregations who seek to mitigate the injustices that cause poverty.
Our diverse faith traditions stress social justice values. Together we work to educate ourselves and our neighbors, inspire all, and act for positive change.

Our October speaker will be Stephanie Barr, the Executive Director of Lift Urban Portland (LiftUP), an organization serving downtown and NW Portland since 1980, with programs providing access to food for those in need. Stephanie’s connections with Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon and other advocacy groups give her a unique perspective on both the depth of the food insecurity crisis and efforts being made to strengthen systems to address that crisis.
