Learn about Oregon’s Native American history and how Oregon’s Native art differs from that of British Columbia, Alaska, and Washington. CBI member and PSU Prof. Dr. Tracy Prince will show art from each of Oregon’s 9 federally recognized tribes, explaining how tribal culture and artistry has thrived in spite of the many threats tribes have faced. Oregon’s Native artists have historically expressed artistry through a variety of forms with many Contemporary artists being internationally renowned for their work.
