From the Pittsburgh Platform of 1885 to the Statements of Principles of the 21st century, Reform Judaism has continually reexamined what it means to live a Jewish life in changing times. In this session, we’ll explore how Reform Judaism’s understanding of God, Torah, ritual, Israel, ethics, and Jewish peoplehood has evolved across six major platforms. And how each generation has sought to balance tradition with the realities of modern life.
