Submission Guidelines and Eligibility
- Applicants should be nonprofit organizations recognized for their tax-exempt status under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Please include a copy of the letter verifying your organization’s tax exempt status.
- Organizations should provide services to people living in the greater Portland community including Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Clark Counties.
- Organizations should clarify whether they are applying for a Social Action General Tribute Fund or a Social Action Food Fund donation.

Application review and timetable
Applications received by February 28th for June distribution and applications received by August 31st for December distribution. Organizations may submit an application for consideration more than once in a year. Time sensitivity should be noted.
Please provide a letter to the Social Action Committee within 60 days of using the donation detailing how the funds were spent, who benefited, and any challenges you experienced.
